Fine Art Daily - September 4, 2006

It's a good thing to start new projects on long weekends. When I sat down at the computer this morning with a fresh watercolor to scan everyone was still asleep. The house was quiet. The cats had gone back to bed with their respective children. Then the Photoshop got funky. Had to uninstall and reinstall. Had to cook breakfast. Had to get the laundry started. And now I need to go supervise homework.

Luckily, the Photoshop seems back in fine fettle and the watercolor of the day is ready to shine. This is a tomato which will figure prominently in tonight's dinner. Along with some feta cheese, olive oil and lots of garlic.

Remember to send me an email so I can keep you abreast of all the new art that is going to fly out of my studio! This is the second in a series of watercolors painted daily. 8" X 10" matted. Visit yesterday's blog for more info.
Each painting will be priced at $50.00, which will includes an 8X10 mat and the postage. We'll have to add postage costs if you need something shipped to Europe or by Fed Ex, Payments may be made through PayPal.

Jean Sanders - Fine Art Daily

Jean Sanders - Fine Art Daily

Jean Sanders: Fine Art Daily - Painting Challenge. Every day I will go into my studio and will paint a small piece which I will then post for sale. All the paintings will be priced at $50.00 - a veritable bargain for original fine art. Stop by daily to see the new work!

September 3, 2006:

Having almost missed an international trend, I am here to bring the art world of Stuart (and Sewall's Point) up to speed. There are some fine artists who are creating works of art on a daily basis and putting them up for sale at incredible bargain prices. These painters have been featured in The New York Times and Domino magazine.
I am going to join these artists in offering up my own work - and meeting the daily challenge of a new painting every day. Of course, some allowances may have to be made - if we have another hurricane or if I happen to take a vacation - I will be out of town for my mother's 80th birthday in October, so expect a few blank days then.
Some of my paintings are already on display at Argento Galleria, on Osceola Street in Historic Downtown Stuart. Others have been used in my "Jean's Scenes" and "Sewall's Point Cooks Sundays" on YourHub.com. You can click on the links below to see some more:

I had fabulous teachers in high school and college who exposed me to the great artists of the world in field trips to museums in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and New Haven. I spent a year in London and traveling through Europe, visiting the paintings and places I had only seen in slides and textbooks. I have kept sketchbooks and day journals forever, I have worked as a free-lance designer and illustrator, exhibiting my work in shows and museums here in Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Connecticut.

The way the Fine Art Daily is going to work is that I will paint a small piece every day - and will post it for your viewing. I am currently working in watercolors - but some oils might pop up or some collages. I am designing a cookbook - so expect vegetables and kitchen tools for a little while. Perfect little pieces for holiday gifts - and remember that Christmas is right around the corner! And suggestions will be welcome!

Each painting will be priced at $50.00, which will includes an 8X10 mat and the postage. We'll have to add postage costs if you need something shipped to Europe or by Fed Ex, Payments may be made through Pay Pal.

Please email me first at : fineartdaily@yahoo.com to ask about the painting and to receive daily images. First come, first served. I don't know just yet how to link you directly to my email, so write it down until i figure it out. Or go to www.jeansanders.com. The website is spare and primitive and never up to date, I must warn you.

All the images are copyrighted by me and may not be reproduced without my permission.

Let the games begin!

11: 50: I am going into my studio, and sometime this afternoon will post a new painting.

5:00: Here is the first painting: The Kiplinger Estate in Sewall's Point. An 8" X 10" matted original watercolor painted today. Enjoy. Email me to be the first on my list!

Now that I have actually gotten to the site I have to go make dinner for the clamoring hoards. More tomorrow - after spending the midnight hour at Barnes and Noble waiting for the new Harry Potter books to be uncrated.
